The wild Ylang Ylang, Cananga odorata is a up to 20 meters high tree which dates originally from the Philippines. The name Ylang Ylang means ' ' flower of flowers ' '. Now, the Ylang Ylangboom, odorantissima, especially planted Uona on Madagascar, Haiti, Sansibar, Sumatra and the Comoros.

Ylang Ylang Oil

The flowers of this small tree can soft purple, pink or yellow. Ylang Ylang odorantissima essential oil or Uona beneficial for high blood pressure. It is said that the yellow flowers produce the best quality oil. The oil from the first distillation is of the best quality flowers deliver approximately 1 km, 50 km oil. The oils from the three subsequent distillations are less fragrant and lower therapeutic value. It is a pale yellow something tough oil with a sweet floral fragrance similar to jasmine and Hyacinth. The oil is generally antipyretic and resistance (against infections) increasing. The oil is used in aromatherapy at; lifeless hair breaking off, problem skin, irritated skin, acne, brittle nails, slightly elevated blood pressure, insect stings, hypernea, heart palpitations, shock, depression, anxiety, tension, insomnia, excessive heart rate, decreased sexual drive. Prevents hyperventilation. Add to massage oil for treatment for menstrual-or transitional problems. Belly with both hands massaging in a circular motion.

Relaxing bath; 2 drops of Ylang Ylang, 2 drops of Amyris, 2 drops of Bergamot and 1 drop of Rose mix with a little honey or cream and add this mixture to a warm bath.

Youth and blemished skin pimples; 3 to 5 drops of Ylang Ylang in a glass of boiled, cooled water and DAB the skin.

Brittle nails; 5 drops of Ylang Ylang mix in a tablespoon of wheat germ oil and this at night before going to bed, the nails and the nail bed massage.
